Session Description

This session will provide details on how for the last two years our district provided eight multicultural Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) books to our 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students over the summer as well as hosted a STEAM related Enrichment program for free. The RIF Innovative Approaches to Literacy grant paved the way.

This highly informative session will detail instructions on how to successfully organize and implement a book distribution for students to prevent the summer slide. Participants will receive book lists with STEAM related activities, timelines for implementation and information about the Reading is Fundamental IAL grant.
